I dont even know anymore

What exactly is postmodernism? Am i a post-modernist? Is post modern even an art period? or simply a nihlistic void? Or is the world
a void and post modernism is expressing the state of things? Does anyone even look at other peoples art and enjoy it anymore for reasons other than envy, or inspiration?
I believe i will start painting and drawing from life to combat this nihlism.
